Job Purpose and Reporting Structure: Manage the Art Department Creative and Production responsibilities on an ongoing basis to ensure that art work is completed in time to meet customers’ needs, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Ensure that creative art projects are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that production art projects are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Support sales efforts by providing information in a timely manner.
  • Work with customers daily to provide the highest quality art work possible.
  • Act as computer hardware and software consultant for the department.
  • Perform other related duties as required. 

Qualifications: Outgoing, hardworking individual dedicated to making graphic art production the best possible. Need to be a detailed oriented person who can communicate well internally and externally. Must understand computer hardware and software so that production and creative work can be completed professionally. Management skills necessary to manage people and an understanding of communication media is necessary. Education and/or Experience: Requires an associate’s degree or two years of college and three to five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents and customer files for technical specifications.  Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities: Requires the knowledge of and ability to operate a Macintosh computer and related software, image setter, proofer, printers, and scanner... Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment, such as a computer and keyboard, a calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier, etc. Requires the ability to use standard measuring devices.
