About Printing Industries Press

Printing Industries Press is the publishing imprint of Printing Industries of America.

Our publishing history goes back nearly 90 years, to 1921, when PIA published the first volumes in the venerable (and still published) Ratios series, and 1927, when the Lithographic Technical Foundation (LTF) published its first textbook on single-color sheetfed press operating.

In addition to being the oldest publisher of graphic arts materials in the United States, we take pride in that we also publish the widest selection of titles in the graphic arts industry. Printing Industries Press delivers books, PDFs, and webinars on nearly every aspect of the field and for nearly every position and stage of professional development within the industry.

Currently, more than 200 titles are available from our catalog and online store, and each year approximately two dozen new or revised publications are released. We also offer select resale items, such as the ubiquitous Pocket Pal.

Printing Industries Press also publishes Printing Industries of America: The Magazine.
Launched with the April 2009 issue, this new magazine brings you the best content from our two previous magazines, GATFWorld and Management Portfolio. Based on reader feedback, the new publication combines coverage of today’s technology and practical knowledge on use with articles that assist owners and leaders of printing companies on all aspects of managing their companies efficiently for growth and profitability.

And, finally, as a publisher, Printing Industries Press is truly unique. Printing Industries of America is the only printing industry trade association with a full-service in-house printing facility. Here, a book can be taken from concept to finished product, allowing us to practice what we preach.
