Mounting and Laminating Processes

Single-Sided Lamination (Pressure-Sensitive)

Film is applied to one face of the graphic using a cold-roller laminator or vacuum press. For indoor or outdoors applications, it provides protection against moisture, physical abrasion and some UV filtering. Pressure senitives are preferred for outdoor applications.

Single-Sided Lamination (Heatset)

Film is applied to one face of the graphic using a heated roll laminator or hot press. Primarily for indoor applications, it provides basic protection against moisture, physical abrasion and some UV filtering. Heatset overlaminates require lower temperatures than thermal films.

Single-Sided Lamination (Thermal)

Film is applied to one face of the graphic using a heated roll laminator or hot press. Primarily for indoor applications, it provides basic protection against moisture, physical abrasion and some UV filtering.

Encapsulation (Thermal/Pressure-Sensitive)

Film is applied to both front and back of a graphic and sealed on the edges. Used for indoor and outdoor applications, encapsulation provides additional moisture protection, and can be used to add rigidity to graphics.
