GSP Acquires Large-Format Production Lab
Jun 8, 2015
GSP, a provider of retail services, has announced that it has purchased substantially all of the assets of the Madison, Wisconsin-based, large-format graphics production lab, Great Big Pictures (GBP), resulting in a strategic merger of two innovators in retail marketing and store-level execution.
“This marks a transformative step in our history,” noted GSP CEO Geoff Neuhoff. “This is an organizational and strategic merger that is mutually beneficial. It will help GSP to improve turn time and reduce transit costs for our customers. GBP is the perfect complement, adding state-of-the-art digital production capabilities, a design and project management team with extensive experience in propping and visual displays for leading retail brands, as well as an 80,000 square foot facility staffed to accommodate our record sales growth, as well as take on the future growth we anticipate.”
GBP’s Alice Torti, who will join GSP’s leadership team and continue to lead GBP as a division of GSP, agreed, “Merging with GSP creates incredible opportunities for GBP’s customers, who will benefit from GSP’s store profiling technology and G7 Master printing facilities, as well as award-winning design and photography services.”
Bill and Mary Chandler, GBP’s long-time owners and pioneers in photo-realistic graphics production for retail, will support the integration of the two organizations as advisors to GSP’s executive team. Anticipated growth resulting from the merger and investment in the Madison facility will create as many as thirty new positions in various locations.
