For Immediate Release December 10, 2015 Contact: Renee Simpson, SGIA 703.359.1310 renee@sgia.org Fairfax, Virginia — SGIA is putting together an Industry Promotion Kit, complete with a video showing the diverse printing technologies within the community — and your shop could be featured in it. “This is a unique opportunity for printers to offer a behind-the-scenes look at what really goes on in their shop, and how they create their products,” said Erin Nuss, SGIA’s Associate Manager of Education. “This is a very visual community, and this video is a great way to show the next generation of imagers the wide range of technology platforms used in specialty printing and some of the finished products to spark their interest in our exciting industry.” The Association is looking for 2–3 minutes of printing footage to add to the compilation, which will be on display at the USA Science and Engineering Festival (Washington, DC, April 16–17). It will also be available for SGIA Educational Institution Members to incorporate into their lesson plans. The video will allow students and educators — and the future imaging workforce — to get an inside look at the printing industry, and the impact it has on products we use in everyday life. Footage can include screen printing, digital printing, finished products, final product/installations and more. If you have any questions or are interested in contributing to our promotional video, contact Erin Nuss at erin@sgia.org. SGIA — Supporting the Leaders of the Digital & Screen Printing Community “Specialty imaging” comprises digital imaging, screen printing and the many other imaging technologies SGIA members use, including those they’ll tap in the future.
