ENERGY STAR
Mar 30, 2016
ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses become more energy efficient, and in turn reduce costs and reduce their carbon footprint. The program was established in 1992 as a program for air-pollution reduction research, and has evolved into a voluntary program to promote energy-efficient products in an effort to reduce energy consumption and air pollution.
Within its 23 years, the ENERGY STAR program has transformed the marketplace by making energy-efficiency a core value, creating jobs, and stimulating the economy. Using ENERGY STAR products allows your business to reduce your carbon footprint, reduce energy costs, and be a part of an economy strengthening program.
