Create a Safety Committee (10 points)
Jan 25, 2017
A safety committee can be an effective way to get employees involved with safety compliance and improvement in your facility. This committee should meet regularly to discuss progress on safety issues and updates on safety activity. The committee can also be an efficient way to carry out other safety action items, such as developing a written safety policy or carrying out workplace inspections. Your committee can meet once a month, once a week, or whatever schedule that works for you.
Download SGIA’s Safety Committee Guidance and Safety Committee Minutes Template to help guide you through the process of creating a committee.
To receive points for this action item, please send an agenda or notes from your meeting, or send a picture of your committee meeting, to allison@sgia.org.
