Wish you could eliminate scorching and “heat press boxes” on temperature-sensitive fabrics? Do away with preheating garments? Streamline dealing with uneven surfaces, zippers and buttons? Make bonding quicker? A new platen from Hotronix gives you the power to do all this and more, while giving you the ability to switch platen sizes without changing the controller.
The Hotronix Power Platen takes on a variety of temperature- and substrate-related challenges with an interchangeable design and digital technology that’s geared toward maximizing control and flexibility.
The lightweight, interchangeable platen features a built-in pillow to conform to all printing surfaces. Its interchangeable digital control box can be used with any of the four platen sizes offered.
The controller is accurate to the degree and has a digital display and a quick-disconnect design for low power consumption. The Power Platen also is engineered to be cool to the touch, with special insulating properties to keep the lower platen cool while concentrating the controlled heat in the required area. In addition, the Power Platen makes a heat press fully threadable when used with a Heat Press Caddie™.
Besides preventing scorching, the Power Platen protects delicate embroidery and appliqué from overheating, helping them to retain their full dimension. It also promotes a quicker bond between the transfer adhesive and fabric.
The Power Platen is UL-, ULc- and CE-approved, with one or more patents pending. It comes with a two-year warranty. Platens are available in 6-inch by 6-inch, 6-inch by 20-inch, 11-inch by 15-inch, 16-inch by 20-inch sizes and a set of all four with one controller.
