“When I saw the die-cutter in action I was very impressed with the variety of functions taking place in one operation. The personalized ID card carriers are die-cut to shape while the round cornered ID card is cut but held in the frame. The waste or matrix is automatically diverted and the shingle belt delivers the cards in print order. The accuracy and speed of the Insignia has greatly increased our turnaround time and improved the overall quality of our die-cut products,” states Omar Khan, owner of iColor.
The Insignia series can eliminate sending out profitable work and allows for more control over production and turnaround times. Ideal for digital printing, it offers an optical registration system designed to account for shifting in the imaged work. It handles substrates between 0.006 and 0.024” thick depending on the machine. The X3 model handles up to 0.003”. The IS6 performs die-cutting, kiss-cutting, embossing, perforating, scoring, and cut-scoring on a range of papers, plastics, magnetic material, PVC, styrene, and polypropylenes.
