Xeikon is a spotlight sponsor of the PRINTING United Digital Experience Commercial - Dry and Liquid Toner day, and will showcase the Xeikon SX30000 single pass duplex digital production press during the day’s event. With so many important choices for printers to consider, toner is just as viable offering high productivity for high value applications, according to Donna Covannon, Director of Marketing, Xeikon North America.

“With the SX30000, Xeikon is first and foremost aiming at high value applications, usually featuring high coverage color content on high-quality papers combined with superior quality requirements. This can be in the book printing segment or high-quality direct mail, but because of the versatility of the technology, it might also be in retail and signage materials, security printing, digital wall decoration and other general commercial print. We are further looking at customers who need higher productivity combined with lower running cost and a compelling overall TCO,” said Covannon.

“We have been the pioneers of dry toner technology, and we continue to see opportunities to further enhance it and improve on it. The technology has been named SIRIUS – after the brightest star in the night sky and in reference to its role in helping people to navigate and set course in various cultures throughout history. We believe this platform will lead the way towards a profitable business for our existing and future customers.”

12:15 p.m. ET — DUPLO USA
Si Nguyen, VP of sales for Duplo USA, joins us from the Duplo showroom in Orange County, Calif. Utilizing inkjet technology, the DDC-810 applies a gloss varnish to defined areas of the substrate giving images a raised effect with texture and depth. Its CCD camera recognition system ensures image-to-image registration, and its PC Controller software offers an easy-to-use operation. Performing up to eight slits, 25 cuts, and 20 creases in a single pass, the DC-646 eliminates white borders and prevents toner cracking on fold lines up to 30 sheets per minute, and also offers optional rotary tool and cross perforating modules — both with strike-perforating capabilities — for increased versatility. Processing up to 4,000 sph, the UD-310 utilizes a magnetic cylinder and interchangeable flexible dies that affix to it to process paper, laminates, adhesives, and synthetic stocks up to 400 gsm.

“Duplo USA is a proud sponsor of the PRINTING United Digital Experience,” said Diana Blanco, Marketing Operations/Media Manager, Duplo. “The unique Digital Experience platform allows us to showcase our leading solutions to a worldwide audience and gives customers and those looking to learn more about our cutting edge technology an inside peek at our showroom in Orange County. While we cannot be together in person this year, we are pleased to have the opportunity to share all Duplo has to offer the market, virtually!”

1:00 PM ET — GRAPHIC WHIZARD
The Graphic Whizard PT 33LSC is the world’s first fully automated laminator that slits and cuts to finished size, saving hours of trimming and cutting after the laminating process. Designed to meet the demands of the digital short-run printer, the PT 33LSC not only cuts to bleed, but has pouch mode where users can choose their encapsulation size or perform true singled sided laminating with the ability to easily control the curl with the anti-curl device. Automatic setup, productive speeds, and the efficient pile feeder makes for a “set it and forget it” laminating experience.

“Graphic Whizard is eager to show off all that the company has worked so hard to bring to market in 2020 to this global audience, including the preview of a special flatbed die cutter,” said Steve Allen, president and CEO, Graphic Whizard. “PRINTING United Digital Experience attendees will clearly see why Graphic Whizard has such an exemplary reputation for manufacturing and distributing the finest quality finishing equipment.
