Sun Chemical to Increase Prices on Inks, Coatings, Consumables, and Adhesives in Latin America

Sun Chemical will increase prices across its entire portfolio of inks, coatings, consumables, and adhesives in Latin America, effective immediately or as contracts allow.

Unprecedented inflationary pressure and shortages of materials continue to have a strong impact on the raw materials and packaging markets, and the global transportation crisis is a contributing factor in driving further cost increases. Additionally, the strong impact of inflation on the different components of the manufacturing process is aggravating the situation. Sun Chemical continues to work to mitigate the impact of these increases. However, the magnitude and speed of these require the company to increase prices to offset the impact on the business.

“Sun Chemical maintains its commitment to provide its customers with the highest quality products on the market and continues to leverage on its global network to ensure the supply of the raw materials necessary to manufacture these products," says Fernando Tavara, president of Sun Chemical Latin America. “However, our cost optimization programs are not enough to compensate for the magnitude and speed of increases in materials, so we need to raise prices to our customers to ensure continuity in the supply of our products with the expected qualities.”

Sun Chemical will communicate specific increases directly with its customers. Customers with questions can reach out to their local Sun Chemical sales representative.
