HOOKSETT, N.H. (June 12, 2023)—Polaris Direct, a nationally acclaimed full-service print and direct marketing services company, is proud to announce that it has been re-certified by the Center for Women & Enterprise Certification Committee as a WBENC Women's Business Enterprise (WBE). This marks Polaris Direct's 19th year of being WBE certified, a highly respected and widely recognized certification for women-owned businesses in the United States.
WBENC is a strong advocate for women-owned businesses and is now the largest third-party certifier for women's businesses. The certification requires that at least 51 percent of a company is owned, controlled, operated, and managed by women. The council's mission is to "fuel economic growth globally by identifying, certifying, and facilitating the development of women-owned businesses."
Additionally, Polaris Direct is happy to share that they have been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). Joining the WOSB Federal Contract program makes a business eligible to compete for federal contracts reserved for the program's certified participants.
As a Tier 1 diversity supplier, Polaris Direct has a keen interest in supporting Tier 2 vendor relationships and other diversity initiatives. Polaris seeks out partnerships with other diverse suppliers in an effort to support minority and women-owned companies. Polaris Direct is dedicated to tracking annual diversity spending goals, and looking for ways to progressively increase the number of diverse suppliers they engage in doing business with. The company's recent recertification highlights their long-term dedication to these initiatives and to fostering a culture of innovation. Judith Maloy, Director and CEO of Polaris Direct, has actively participated in the WBENC Forum and credits collaboration with women-owned and minority entrepreneurs for contributing to the company's growth over the years.
Polaris Direct has also recently earned a Chain-of-Custody certification from the Forest Stewardship Council®️ (FSC®️ C189653), as well as from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative®️ (SFI®️), as part of our ongoing commitment to taking part in responsible and sustainable environmental practices.
The Forest Stewardship Council® defines standards based on agreed principles for responsible forest stewardship that are supported by environmental, social, and economic stakeholders. Learn more at www.fsc.org. The Sustainable Forestry Initiative® is one of the leading certifiers in North America to show traceability of wood, paper, and forest fiber content from certified responsible forests.
Polaris Direct is excited about the impact that these certifications bring the company and the community. They will continue to work as a team to evolve, keeping diversity and sustainability at the forefront of their values.
