Organizations will host students for a second consecutive year offering a “front row” view of the latest in printing, including tours of the show floor, and more
Fairfax, Va. -- The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) and PRINTING United Alliance are, once again, working together to bring students a special day dedicated to learning about the many career opportunities in printing and graphic communications. Student Day is being held Thursday, Oct. 19 during PRINTING United Expo, taking place Oct. 18-20 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This special day for students offers complete access to the show floor, visits with select vendors, attendance at keynote presentations, and the opportunity to learn all about the latest industry technology together under one roof. Interested students and educational institutions can register for Student Day at www.printingunited.com/register, and enter promo code: PGSF23.
“Students will have time to visit vendor booths including Mimaki, Heidelberg, EFI, and ROQ US; plus spend time in the Apparel Zone,” says Dianne Bullas, Operations Director, PGSF. “Attending Student Day gives students interested in, or already pursuing, a career in graphic communications, an amazing opportunity to meet industry leaders, ask questions, and make connections in the industry.”
"PRINTING United Alliance is always excited to welcome students to the Expo,” says Josh Carruth, SVP, Association, PRINTING United Alliance. “Supporting the industry's future workforce falls squarely among the Alliance's workforce development objectives. The Expo is the perfect opportunity for students to take advantage of having the entire industry under one roof to see and experience it all."
Nearly 800 exhibitors from around the world occupying one million square feet have signed on to join the largest event in printing this year. Leaders in the commercial, digital, apparel, digital textile, packaging, mailing and fulfillment, and graphics/wide-format spaces will run live demonstrations of their solutions — many award-winning — throughout the highly anticipated live event.
