The Print Stop owner Tim Toggweiler shares, “My message to our loyal customers is that Greg Glenn brings 5 years of local experience as the owner of Minuteman Press in Clawson that is backed by over 50 years of industry experience and support from Minuteman Press International. Greg has a passion for printing and the desire to grow his business and provide for his family. The timing of the sale was a blessing for me and Greg has assured me that he will take excellent care of my customers and their printing needs.”

Win-Win-Win Acquisition

The acquisition of The Print Stop by Minuteman Press in Clawson creates a win-win-win situation for Greg, Tim, and customers of The Print Stop. Tim explains why the timing was right for him to sell, saying, “I opened the business in 2001 after working for another company for 17 years. I spent 40 total years in printing and I built my business by providing excellent customer service and competitive pricing. When Minuteman Press Regional VP Rich DeRosa approached me 14 months ago, I was excited about the opportunity. I actually accepted a job offer outside of the industry 7 days before Rich reached out and asked me how things were going. It was time for me to leave the industry but I wanted my clients to be taken care of. I truly believe that this was meant to be.”

Tim adds, “Rich was very easy to work with and easy to talk to. His experience in doing what he does allowed me to trust the process as something that would benefit my family. I also trusted Minuteman Press because of their reputation throughout our area and all over the country, and the exit strategy was mutually agreeable.”

For Greg Glenn, the timing was also fortuitous. He says, “I’ve been passing through The Print Stop every morning on my way to my Minuteman Press location. I noticed the hours were shortened to 12-5 pm and that they were only open 4 days per week. I notified Rich DeRosa and reached out to Tim, who said to check back next year. One year later, here we are and it was the right time for both of us to come to an agreement on the acquisition.”

Greg adds, “I wanted to expand my client base by increasing our reach and connect with a broader range of customers. By integrating The Print Stop’s loyal customer base and providing clients with a seamless transition, we’re positioned to serve even more local businesses. We have strengthened our marketing presence in the local market, solidifying our position as a leader in the printing and marketing industry within the community.”

Welcome to Minuteman Press, Clawson – Meet Greg Glenn

In July of 2020, Greg Glenn purchased Minuteman Press in Clawson. On his background, Greg shares, “I am a 20-year military veteran and have a master’s degree in public relations. I started my business in Digital Marketing before buying the existing Minuteman Press location.”

Greg continues, “We’ve grown the business by implementing direct mail marketing, increasing direct marketing to local businesses, and joining several networking groups. One of our biggest growth areas is producing promotional products to local nonprofits and municipalities. Printing continues to be a cornerstone of effective business communication and marketing, even in today’s digital age. Print materials such as signage, banners, and promotional products help local businesses increase visibility and brand recognition.”

Being involved in the community is important to Greg. He says, “I am very active in the community. I am member of two local fraternal organizations and have had the privilege to partner with them on a variety of meaningful projects. This includes helping with turkey giveaways for Thanksgiving and passing out food during the Christmas season. Another initiative that is close to my heart is the Adopt-a-Family program, which helps families in need.”

“The connections I’ve made with our customers, employees, and community members are priceless. Knowing I’ve built something that positively impacts others is a deeply rewarding experience. As a business owner, I have the ability to make an impact not only through my services but also through community involvement. The ability to combine my professional success with giving back is one of the most rewarding aspects of owning my business.” -Greg Glenn, Owner, Minuteman Press Franchise, Clawson, MI

What’s Next?
After selling The Print Stop, Tim has moved on to pursue a different life passion. He says, “My new position is General Manager of the Hazel Park Ice Arena. I have played hockey for over 40 years (I am still playing 2-3 nights per week) and had a part-time side hustle driving the Zamboni when I was in college. My passion for customer service will serve me well in this new position. I’m not selling paper anymore, but I am selling ice!”

“The Print Stop provided my family with the creature comforts that they needed for 23+ years. I know that Greg will be successful and I am excited to work with him to ensure a smooth transition. I believe that this deal happened because of divine intervention as I was taught that things happen for a reason. The timing was right for all parties involved.” -Tim Toggweiler, Former Owner, The Print Stop (now acquired by Minuteman Press, Clawson, MI)

For his part, Greg Glenn says, “I am excited to embark on this new chapter as we expand our business with this acquisition. I’d like to thank Tim Toggweiler, Rich DeRosa, and Minuteman Press International for their continued support.”

Greg concludes with the following advice for his fellow business owners, saying, “Marketing isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. Try new things, listen to feedback, and stay consistent. A strong marketing strategy can drive growth and create lasting customer relationships.”
