Bubbles on the Leading Edge (Thermal)
Written October 16, 2019
Problem
Appearance is similar to silvering, but at the leading edge of the print.
Cause
Allowing laminating film to pause on a heated roller or heat shoe, which causes the edge of the film to overheat. When the print is fed into the laminator, it contacts the overheated area.
Solution
Prior to feeding materials into a laminator that has been stopped, feed at least a foot of film into the rollers.
