Delaware Air Permitting Issues
Written October 17, 2019
Delaware does have an approved Title V permit program in place.
Facilities that emit less than 0.2 pounds of VOCs per day are not required to obtain an operating permit if the facility keeps records documenting the daily emission level does not exceed 0.2 pounds per day. Facilities without an air contaminant control device and emissions during any given day that are equal to or greater than 0.2 pound per day and less than ten (10) pounds per day must submit a registration form to the state.
The information must be submitted on a Registration Form and are available from the state upon request. Any equipment that emits or controls air contaminants requires an air permit from AQM prior to construction or installation of new equipment, or modification or operation of existing equipment.
