Summary: The SVP of Strategic Initiatives has multiple duties related to the implementation of SGIA’s strategic vision, specifically by providing leadership, management and operational controls to ensure that strategic goals are being pursued and met. She or he oversees the implementation of major initiatives relative to those goals at the operational level, and will be personally responsible for large-project execution and coordination among various departments. The SVP also acts as a strategic advisor to the President & CEO, represents the Association in various settings, promotes company culture and vision, monitors the financial health of the organization, and projects and establishes the appropriate metrics for measuring the overall success of the organization.

- Acts as a chief promoter of the community-building process inherent in Association management.
- Provides day-to-day leadership and management to the Association that mirrors the mission and core values of the company.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, measurement and ongoing effectiveness of assigned processes and projects. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
- Collaborates with senior management and other staff as needed to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the Association.
- Motivates and leads a high-performance management team; attracts, recruits and retains required members of that team; and provides mentoring as a cornerstone of employee development for the Association.
