SGIA Announces 2013 Expo Call for Presentations

For Immediate Release January 17, 2013 Contact: Kat Thomas, SGIA 703.359.1360 kat@sgia.org Fairfax, Virginia –The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) announces a Call for Presenters for the 2013 SGIA Expo (Orlando, Florida, October 23–25). Presenting an educational session at the SGIA Expo is an excellent way to share valuable experience, gain visibility, and raise the knowledge level of the specialty graphic industry in general. Proposals are welcome from SGIA members and SGIA Expo exhibitors, including printers, manufacturers, educators, distributors and industry consultants, as well as experts in sales and business management. Sessions are selected for inclusion in the SGIA Expo educational program based on factors including relevance/timeliness of the topic, educational value to the industry, and educational balance within the diverse specialty graphic industry. All proposals are considered, but only a limited number are accepted. Please note that all proposed educational sessions must be non-commercial in nature, and should focus on increasing knowledge on a particular topic or technique, but not on a specific product or proprietary process. Deadline for submissions is Friday, February 15, 2013. Educational tracks include:
  • Graphics & Sign
  • Garment Decoration
  • Industrial Printing
  • Business Management
Presentations are in seminar format, either lecture or panel discussion, and are 60 minutes in length. To submit a proposal for the SGIA Expo, please email the following information to Dan Marx, SGIA’s vice president of markets and technologies:
  • Session title and topic
  • One-paragraph description of session
  • Intended educational track
  • Full contact information for proposed presenter(s), including: Name, company, mailing address, phone number, email address and intended educational track.
