Fairfax, Virginia – Students from all facets of specialty imaging gathered last week for SGIA’s Color Management Boot Camp, where industry experts, Tony Quinn, of Nazdar; Jonathan Read, of Ergosoft; and SGIA’s own Jeff Burton presented the unique aspects of large-format inkjet printing.
“Regardless of the output device used, it’s imperative to be able to fine tune the color reproduction for each device,” said Burton. “Color optimization of your shop’s output devices through color management can address many challenges companies face when printing clients’ projects.”
During the Workshop, held March 26–28 in SGIA’s state-of-the-art facility in Fairfax, Virginia, attendees learned all about basic color management concepts; print standards and specifications; color measurement instrumentation and profiling software; spot color libraries and device calibration.
If you missed it this time, don’t worry! The popular Color Management Boot Camp will return this summer, June 4–6. Monitor SGIA.org, for more information about this, and other educational opportunities in 2013.
