Guido Lengwiler Receives ASDPT Swormstedt Award at 2014 SGIA Expo

Fairfax, Virginia — At this year's SGIA Expo (Las Vegas, October 22–24), the prestigious Dave Swormstedt, Sr. Memorial Award was presented to Guido Lengwiler for his article, “A History of Screen Printing, How an Art Evolved Into An Industry.” “Mr. Lengweiler’s book provides the screen printing industry with a definitive look at how one industry grew and changed over time to become one of the premier print technologies,” said Marci Kinter, Vice President of Government and Business Information and Secretary of the Academy of Screen and Digital Printing Technologies (ASDPT). Chosen by members of the ASDPT, Swormstedt Award winners are celebrated for their superb writing ability and innovative insight into the industry. Any SGIA member may nominate an author and article to be considered. In addition to bestowing this sought-after award, the ASDPT inducted three new members at the Expo.
