Stella Color (Seattle) knows the importance of implementing sustainable business practices, and they continually search for more ways to utilize envronmentally friendly materials and processes to improve the industry as a whole. SGIA has recognized their dedication by announcing them as a 2015 Sustainability Recognition Award honoree.  Not only does Stella Color comply with all environmental regulations, but they work to go above and beyond the requirements to push the boundaries of sustainability. By working with their employees, customers and suppliers, they maximize their opportunity to promote a "green" lifestyle in all aspects of their operation.  Stella Color has focused greatly on recycling and reusing materials, and has encouraged their entire network to take advantage of any and all recycling programs available. In 2014, they were able to save approximately 1,000 pounds of fabric scraps from being discarded as waste. Currently, Stella is able to recycle a whopping 100 percent of their unused fabric scrap.  Stella Color is also the first printer in the state of Washington to earn Sustainable Green Printing (SGP) Certification. The SGP Partnership is a non-profit organization that validates printing facilities’ sustainability initiatives, including and beyond regulatory compliance. The SGP certification process encourages printers and suppliers to reduce their environmental impact and increase social awareness of their best practices towards assuring print buyers a more sustainable supply chain.
