KDM P.O.P. Solutions Group is pleased to announce the enhancement of its custom, retail point-of-purchase operations with the purchase of Panotec’s Box On DemandTM corrugated converting equipment. The ability to produce boxes that are sized right, in-house, maximizes productivity and cost savings by reducing the turn time and controlling waste and costs.
Specializing in the production of custom point-of-purchase (POP) print materials for the retail industry, KDM is able to close the supply chain by also making boxes on demand to ship customized POP kits nationwide. “We often ship POP print materials to thousands of retail locations; however, our Store Profiling Intelligence technology mandates that not all locations receive the same kit per marketing campaign. Sizing the box right, along with the ability to produce our own boxes in-house, saves our customers time and money. We even produce our own bubble wrap”, says Bob Kissel, President/CEO at KDM. “Using the right sized box is more important now than ever with the new dimensional weight rates (DIM weight) implemented by both FedEx and UPS at the beginning of the year. Shipping costs are a huge consideration in the total supply chain,” he continues.
The Box on DemandTM has four corrugated feeding stations that produce varying sized boxes up to 98 inches wide in either single or double wall grades of corrugate. Automatic feeding provides faster box processing and assembly at speeds of five boxes per minute.
