Do you know of someone you would like to nominate for membership in The Academy? Do you have questions about who and what The Academy is? If you have the question, so do others. The following is provided to answer your questions!
What is the purpose of The Academy?
The Academy’s purpose is to promote and encourage the development of screen printing and graphic imaging through technical papers and other means of fostering knowledge of screen and digital printing and associated imaging technologies for graphic, textile, industrial, and electronic printing applications.
Academy members regularly submit, review, recognize and recommend technical papers for publications under the auspices of the Academy. Members are also active in providing technical education, consultation, adjudication of printing image quality, and promotion of the technical and commercial development of the industry.
Who can be nominated to The Academy?
Any individual associated with an SGIA member company, either domestic or international, that is in the screen and/or digital industry as a printer, supplier, or educator can be nominated for membership. From those nominated three new members are inducted into The Academy. Inductees are selected by the current membership. All nominees are judged based on information provided in the Nomination Form.
Who can provide a nomination?
Anyone can nominate a person for induction into The Academy. Simply fill out the Nomination form found in External Resources.
