Sun Chemical expanded its Streamline® range of OEM-compatible digital aftermarket inks with the introduction of new low odor inks for the North American market. The new Streamline ESL HPQ low odor inks are the first inkjet products to benefit from Sun Chemical’s innovative new low odor chemistry. The inks have been developed for the Roland Soljet Pro 2, Pro 3 and VersaCAMM printers and are also compatible with printers from Mutoh, Agfa and Uniform, along with other eco-solvent inkjet printers using Epson DX 4 through to DX 7 piezo inkjet print heads. Extensive tests throughout a six-month period with customers in the United States, has demonstrated the long term performance of these inks in a broad range of machine installations. “The industry is seeing a boom in entrepreneurial start-up companies using wide format printers and these companies tend to occupy smaller offices,” said Joseph Biegler, Product Marketing Manager of Streamline Inks, North American Inks, Sun Chemical. “Because many of our customers now work in closer proximity to the printer, they really need low odor inkjet ink cartridges installed in the printer. Our Streamline range of inkjet inks offers a cost effective alternative to OEM inks.” Customers who already use Streamline ESL HPQ inks can switch to the new low odor versions without flushing out their machines as the inks are fully inter-compatible.
