INX Digital International is gearing up for the 2015 SGIA Expo (Atlanta, November 4-6). When the show begins on November 4 at the Georgia World Congress Center, INX (2015 SGIA Expo Gold sponsor, Booth #3426) will have a trio of TRIANGLE® inks running on large and wide format printers. In addition also JetINX™ Printhead Drive and Ink Recirculation System and various EVOLVE™ Advanced Digital Solutions, including digitally printed thermoform on PET, will also be showcased.
TRIANGLE DT7, HFB and RXV inks are high-performance considerations for the wide format market. DT7 aqueous, water-based textile inks are optimized for use on and will be run on a Mutoh ValueJet printer. They are intended for direct-to-textile printing on polyester, nylon or mixed synthetic fabrics used in sportswear and outwear that contain a minimum of 60 percent polyester. They also have very good outdoor durability and can be used on banners and flags using the same material. Fast drying and ATX free, they have a wide color gamut and excellent transfer capabilities.
HFB inks will be demonstrated on a HP Scitex FB500 series printer. These inks provide strong adhesion to a wide variety of materials including Coroplast®, and its flexibility reduces chipping and peeling. HFB is both color comparable to and runs cleaner than the OEM inks.
RXV eco-solvent wide format inks were introduced at the Expo a year ago to great interest. Color and chemically compatible with Eco-Sol MAX® OEM inks, they offer high performance and a neutral balanced grey-scale that is equal to OEM ECO inks. These fast drying and low odor inks will be demonstrated on a Roland® VersaEXPRESS™ RF-640 series printer.
This year’s sensation may be the several industrial application samples of digitally printed thermoform on PET, produced by one of INX Digital’s OEM partners that will be on display. Other applications to view in the booth will include digitally printed cans, glass, plastics and more packaging materials.
“Many of our OEM and digital integration partners have confidential agreements in place,” said Craig Reid, VP of Digital Operations for INX International Ink Co., “but at the SGIA Expo we are able to show digitally printed samples and short videos about these exciting industrial applications. This includes printing onto all types of packaging substrates and direct-to-shape applications. Each are challenging projects that our talented R&D group is developing solutions for, and delivering inks and coatings that are true technological advancements for the inkjet industry.”
The JetINX Printhead Drive and Ink Recirculation System is a dynamic engine that drives the integration services for EVOLVE. This technology is responsible for supplying components and printing subsystems to integrators, printer manufacturers and end users who want to integrate digital technology into an existing operation, or explore digital capabilities for the first time.
