Fairfax, Virginia — Epson (SGIA member since 2006), a leading manufacturer in the printer, professional imaging, projector, scanner, systems devices and factory automation categories, has generously donated an Epson SureColor® P7000 24-inch large-format printer to be used in the state-of-the-art laboratory at SGIA Headquarters (Fairfax, Virginia). The Epson SureColor P7000 is the latest donation for the SGIA laboratory, joining donated printers from Roland, Mutoh, Mimaki and HP (SGIA members since 1995, 1991, 1999 and 1995, respectively).

The new printer will be used in the upcoming Color Management Boot Camp Workshop (March 22–24; August 24–26) as well as for print verification in the ongoing SGIA Digital Equipment Evaluations. Thanks to Epson, workshop attendees will get hands-on experience with some of the latest technology available on the market.

“I can’t wait to use the printer in our upcoming workshop,” said Ray Weiss, Digital Imaging Specialist, SGIA. “For SGIA to continue providing top-notch educational opportunities for our members, it’s important to have current technology. The Epson SC-P7000 is a great addition to our arsenal!”

Donations like these not only help the Association, but also drive the education of the industry. Do you have equipment or materials you’d like to donate? Contact Ray Weiss for more information.
