New Berlin WI - Tekra, A Division of EIS, Inc. has expanded their line of UV Inkjet printable films by offering a wide selection of rigid vinyl (PVC) films for use with UV Inkjet presses.
“With the increasing speed, size, and quality of newer UV Inkjet presses, there are many large-format, low cost, short term applications that still require durability. We are seeing the use of digital presses increase dramatically for these applications. For these instances, rigid vinyl is a great film option because it offers the desired rigidity without requiring a coating for UV inks, which keeps the material affordable for temporary applications,” states Veronica Chandre, Market Development Manager for Rigid Vinyl films. Rigid vinyl is typically used in applications such as point-of-purchase signage, temporary menu boards and displays that are often changed out or thrown away after a fairly short period of time. “The large sheet sizes available and our ability to quickly convert to any size needed fills a much needed requirement many UV inkjet printers have,” continues Chandre.
Tekra actively stocks large sheets of rigid vinyl typically 25” x 52”, ranging from clear to white opaque to black, gloss/gloss to matte/matte finishes and .010” to .040”. For a free sample of any of these materials or a quote please contact a Tekra sales representative at 1.800.448.3572.
