GSP, a leading retail services provider, announced today that it is embracing the holiday spirit with contributions to several charities on behalf of its customers. The donations were announced to GSP’s clients in their holiday cards with a note of appreciation for their business in 2016. “We take to heart the season of giving and feel privileged to honor our customers with a gift that can do good. We select the charities that mean the most to our customers,” said CEO Geoff Neuhoff. “Together with everyone at GSP Companies, we want to thank our customers for another year of growth,” he added. Donations were made to Give Kids The World, United Cerebral Palsy, American Red Cross and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. GSP has been supporting the non-profit Give Kids The World for six years now. GKTW treats children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to weeklong vacations in Central Florida. Leah Bundy, Development Director of GKTW Village, shared the story of one child’s wish that GSP helped come true: Growing up, Shannon performed in theatre and dance, but as a teenager she was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder that weakens bones, attacks joints and sometimes causes organ failure. While performing remained her passion, it became difficult. So when she came to GKTW, the Village made sure it happened. Shannon performed as a dazzling mermaid, entertaining other children and families coping with life-threatening illnesses. “I have the happiest mermaid alive,” Shannon's mom Tara said. "It was everything she wished for and more. She had the best day ever and will take away memories that will last all of us a lifetime. Seeing Shannon so happy and forgetting the 'medical' stuff is something I'll treasure forever."
