CINCINNATI, OH (February, 2017) - KDM P.O.P. Solutions Group is proud to announce it was awarded a total of four 2017 Print Excellence Awards from the Printing Industries of Ohio • Northern Kentucky.
Each year, Printing Industries of Ohio • N. Kentucky holds its Print Excellence Awards Competition to reward Ohio and Northern Kentucky printers that demonstrate excellence in 35 categories. This year’s judges thought the quality of the print among the 400 entries just keep getting better every year. “It’s easy in today’s fast paced world to just get the job done, but our Printing Industries Association (PIA) members continue to demonstrate the pride and dedication to their craft that has made Ohio and Northern Kentucky printers some of the best in the world,” says the Association’s president, Jim Cunningham.
KDM P.O.P. Solutions Group won a Gold Print Excellence Award in the Screen Printing category for a point-of-purchase piece produced for a nationwide Quick-Service Restaurant chain. This Gold winning entry will also be entered into an association-wide (Printing Industries of America) competition for Best of Category and Best of Show prizes in September. “This award is a testimony to the attention to quality and craftsmanship that our press operators work very hard at every day”, said Bob Kissel, President, KDM.
KDM also won Two Silver Print Excellence Awards: One in the Large Format Printing category for an offset/litho label printed and mounted standee for a national beverage manufacturer. The second Silver was in the Point-of Purchase Category for a large scale grocery gain. It’s a unique 2-sided piece that was screen printed then hit with two passes of special glitter ink in spot areas. The signs were then die-cut to look like giant gift tags for the holidays.
Lastly, KDM also won a Bronze Print Excellence Award in the Campaigns/Promotions category for a grocery retailer’s holiday POP campaign consisting of multiple print elements including posters, decals, and tent cards.
Several members of the KDM Staff were present at the Regional Banquet held in late January to accept the awards. Also, during the banquet, it was KDM’s pleasure to announce the 2017 Maxwell Award Winner to M. Rosenthal. It is the association’s tradition to have the prior year’s recipient deliver a speech about the newly honored winner of the prestigious award. (see KDM’s 2016 Press Release).
