Clearwater, FL, February 26, 2018 – GSP, a leading provider of retail services, has been honored by the American Advertising Federation of Tampa Bay with an ADDY Award. At an event held on February 15 in St. Petersburg, GSP was presented with a prestigious Silver award for outstanding achievement in design work.
GSP won for a coffee table book it created for GlobalShop, the annual retail design and marketing trade show. The book described the design thinking behind the booth, which featured a Cuban/island theme. GSP’s Design Services and Visual Merchandising teams collaborated on its custom design and construction, including all of the furniture, walls, floorcovering and graphics. Topping off the booth was an elaborate canopy of light. “The booth was designed to showcase all of GSP’s design and visual merchandising capabilities, as well as our ability to reimagine store environments,” said Design Services VP Steven Cohen. “It perfectly illustrated GSP’s process, from inspiration to installation. The coffee table book documented the work and served as a portfolio for retailers visiting the booth.”
The AAF ADDY Awards is the industry’s largest advertising competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries annually in local AAF Club competitions throughout the country. Its mission is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. The AAF Tampa Bay uses proceeds to support public service, advertising education, internships and more.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by AAF as being among the best in graphic design,” added Cohen. “I’m proud of the talented design and visual merchandising team at GSP and the work we do every day for our top retail clients. Our goal is to make retail better by helping them solve their biggest marketing challenges in store,” he said.
