St. Louis, MO – Lawson Screen & Digital Products Inc. is pleased to offer an instructional video on how to apply the perfect amount of pre-treat solution for DTG printing. The key to any successful DTG print is applying the right amount of pre-treat to the t-shirt or garment.
Too little pre-treat causes the print to look washed out, while too much pre-treat decreases wash fastness. Generally speaking, you should spray 1.4 to 1.6 grams of pre-treat per linear inch (based on a width of 16”) on your dark colored tshirt. For a standard DTG print that is 16” wide x 20” long, the proper amount of pre-treat will be about 28-32 grams. The amount of pre-treat can vary depending on several factors, including shirt brand and garment weight. For example, a thick hoodie will require more pre-treat than a lightweight t-shirt.
Setting your pre-treat sprayer to spray the proper amount of pre-treat is easy. Just follow this simple how to video so you can get consistent pre-treated shirts every time.
