To gather members of the decorated apparel industry together and to raise money for a worthy cause, The Ink Kitchen recently hosted a “Lucky 13 Bash,” on Friday, April 13 at Motion Textile’s Sacramento, Calif., facility.
Hosted by Ink Kitchen co-conspirators Tom Davenport (who owns Motion Textile) and Rick Roth, the party featured The BellRays, a band out of Riverside, Calif. that are self-described as “an all-original, high-energy, punk, funk, rock and soul band.” In addition to the amazing music, guests enjoyed Sam Adams beer, great food, and, of course, a cool event T-shirt from Alternative, AllMade or Bella, and a bag from Bayside for free.
All proceeds from the bash benefitted the Sacramento Food Bank, https://www.sacramentofoodbank.org/, a local, nonprofit agency committed to serving individuals and families in need. More than $12,000 was donated from the event in the form of cash, food, and custom-printed T-shirts.
None of this could have happened without the sponsorship and support of many companies from the decorated apparel industry. Special thanks goes out to Hirsch, SanMar, Hanes, Bella, Bayside, Alternative, Los Angeles Apparel, Boston Beer, Amy’s Kitchen, Union Ink, Albatross, Transfer Express, GSF, Douthitt, Saati, Champion, MHM, Tajima, theshirtboard.com, Rutland, and Jakprints.
