Xaar, a world-leader in industrial inkjet technology, is inviting all tile manufacturers to its stand at Tecnargilla, 24-28 September 2018 in Rimini, Italy. There they can see the Xaar 2001+ printhead family with High Laydown (HL) Technology and learn why it is the only solution that can meet all creative requirements for ceramic tile decoration and effects. The Xaar 2001+ is the most versatile printhead available for tile decoration today. It produces unparalleled fine details, strong colors and outstanding effects, allowing manufacturers to achieve more creativity in their tile designs than ever before. On the Xaar stand (#194 in Kromatech Hall C1), a range of tile samples provided by Indian company Scientifica Tiles LLP will demonstrate the printhead’s capabilities, which enable any tile manufacturer to get ahead of the competition. With its 720-dpi resolution print quality, the Xaar 2001+ printhead family can replicate the smallest features, such as rock veins and grains of sand, and reproduce the subtle gradients found in onyx and marble. It can also produce vibrant designs with strong colors: the Xaar 2001+ GS12C variant is capable of up to 40 g/m2 laydown at 25 m/min line speed for tiles that require maximum impact. Effects such as gloss, adhesive, luster and metallic, which can further provide significant impact, are easily produced with this printhead operating in High Laydown mode, as it can discharge up to 170 g/m2 at 25 m/min line speed. No other printhead can match this. Alternatively, the Xaar 2001+ printhead can be used in dual color mode to deliver two different effects, each one providing up to 85 g/m2 at 25 m/min. Scientifica Tiles is among the growing number of tile manufacturers to have adopted the Xaar 2001+ C printhead and High Laydown Technology since its release. Hiren Vadaviya, Director, has been delighted: “The print quality we are getting is extremely high, and we have been very impressed. A vast difference can be seen between the color gradation of the marble and granite tiles we have produced with the Xaar 2001+ and that of tiles we have seen elsewhere.” “The Xaar 2001+ delivers an excellent print quality,” says Hardik Vaidya of Itaca Group-partner Krishna Colour Chem, which was involved in the installation and commissioning of the machine at Scientifica. “The color gradient it achieves at low ink percentage is a particularly strong point. This is exciting as it allows tile manufacturers to produce subtle gradients in stone designs accurately.” Gerard Winn, Senior Product Manager at Xaar, comments: “The Xaar 2001+ is the only printhead family that can meet all creative requirements for ceramic tile decoration and effects. That’s why we’re inviting tile manufacturers from around the world to our stand at Tecnargilla to see for themselves what the Xaar 2001+ can produce. “This printhead truly enables tile manufacturers to get ahead of the competition and achieve more creativity.”
