Sun Chemical will increase prices across its entire portfolio of ink, coating and consumable products in North America, effective October 1, 2018.
A combination of ongoing raw material supply disruptions, the escalation of transportation costs, and governmental initiatives, ranging from tariffs to changes in environmental regulations, continue to challenge the supply chain and drive up the cost of products.
“The increasing raw material costs are unprecedented and as a result we must continue to review our ink, coating and consumable prices,” said Chris Parrilli, President of North American Inks, Sun Chemical. “While we continue to work with our supply chain partners to manage and minimize impact, the cost pressures have been significant. To ensure we maintain our high levels of product quality and service, it is necessary to increase customer prices.”
