Excelitas Technologies® Corp., a global technology leader delivering innovative, customized photonic solutions, will highlight its latest OmniCure® UV LED curing innovations at the UV+EB Technology BIG IDEAS Conference (March 19 - 20; Redondo Beach, Calif.). Excelitas’ Director of Product Management, UV Curing, Mike Kay will also present a session entitled, “Opportunities for New Applications with the Advancements in Technology of Short Wavelength UV LEDs,” during the event’s UV LED track on Tuesday, March 19, at 3:30 p.m.
Excelitas’ featured products will include:
OmniCure LX500 UV LED Spot Curing System: Available in either two or four LED head system configurations with up to 16W per square centimeter peak irradiance, the LX500 provides unmatched optical stability via Intelli-Lamp® LED technology, ensuring a repeatable curing process with precise control. The LX500 is ideal for use in medical devices such as catheters, cannulas, endoscopes and syringes; electronics such as OPU, smartphones and tablets; and general-purpose small component applications such as bonding and coatings.
OmniCure AC8-HD (High Dose) Series of UV LED Curing Systems: Offering higher optical power and enhanced performance in the same air-cooled mechanical enclosure as its AC8 and AC9 predecessors, the AC8-HD delivers over 50% more dose with unprecedented optical uniformity. Excelitas’ patented control technology for addressing individual UV LED modules enables an outstandingly tight irradiation across the UV emitting length, as well as between heads. The light source is ideal for large area curing of inks, adhesives and coatings.
OmniCure AC5 Series UV LED Curing Systems: Designed with high output LEDs and custom optics, OmniCure AC550/P and OmniCure AC575/P air-cooled UV LED Curing Systems provide high irradiance (14W per square centimeter), enabling manufacturers to achieve outstanding productivity and reduce running costs using LEDs with long lifetime and lower electrical consumption. OmniCure AC5 Series LED Systems are ideal for curing inks, adhesives and coatings in printing applications such as labels, bar coding and package printing, and for industrial and electronics manufacturing applications.
