Schilling Inc., the leading provider of cutting-edge solutions for printing, decorating and digital printing announced the release of two new waterborne coatings product lines for the decorative container and architectural coatings market available for immediate delivery. Both products are additions to Schilling’s Inks & Coatings Division’s extensive portfolio of enamels, inks and coatings for the printing industry.

Sean Weir, Managing Director of Schilling’s Inks & Coatings Division, commented, “In our continuing effort to bring you new products, we are excited to introduce our new waterborne coatings. This is another part of our effort to become the “one-stop shop” for all of our customers' decorating needs. This coating now allows us to better serve the needs of those needing environmentally friendly organic spray coating solutions, while continuing to be a trusted source for ceramic and organic inks.”

Formulated specifically for excellent gloss and clarity, the new water-based formulas are BPA-free, Prop 65 compliant, offer an extensive spectrum of colors, and are available in many special effects such as pearlescent, metallic and fluorescent colors.

The HydroCryl acrylic thermosetting coating is an economical choice for those who wish to spray-decorate glass substrate items like vases, single trip bottles and the backs of flat glass. The HydroThane polyurethane thermosetting coating is designed to provide a decorative coating for glass used in applications that will require excellent durability, chemical and abrasion resistance.

“We created the HydroCryl and HydroThane Coatings product lines especially for our customers pursuing the most challenging types of decorating processes,” said Doug Schilling, Chief Executive Officer of Schilling. “Our deep technical ties in the screen and digital printing industries, combined with the Inks and Coatings teams’ over 100 years of enamels, inks and coatings expertise allows us to bring these new products to market. Schilling’s core competencies in glass and container decorating enable us to create innovative products that can help customers maximize efficiency throughout their decorative process and production ramp.”

“We listened to and acted on our customers’ demands for both acrylic and polyurethane waterborne coatings that work well for the many applications in the decorative container and architectural markets,” continued Schilling. "Expect more new product introductions in 2019.”
