With the Brother DTG Baby Platen, apparel decorators can broaden their services into a range of markets that cater to infants up through toddlers. Day care centers, baby product retailers, hospitals, birthing centers and more need bibs, onesies, tiny T-shirts, burping cloths and similar wearables with a design and a logo.

The soft feel of digital printing makes this an ideal decorating technique for children’s wear and opens the door to providing personalized small orders at a profit.

This specialty platen measures 7 inches (17.8 centimeters) by 8 inches (20.3 centimeters). The operator opens the garment and slides it over the platen. The Brother Baby Platen works on all models of GT printers including the GT-541, GT-782, the GT-3 series and GTX.

If the operator is using GTX Graphics Lab, there is a template in the drop-down box that will change the canvas to 7 inches by 8 inches. Otherwise a platen can be created in any standard graphics software program.
