GMG, the leading developer of high-end color management solutions, announces that Marc Levine will be joining GMG Americas as director of business development, effective February 17. In this role, Levine will be working as part of GMG Americas’ senior management team to expand adoption of GMG technology into dealers and end users, across all marketing segments.

Levine has nearly 25 years of experience selling, supporting, developing, and driving business on products that are built on color across different print verticals, including wide-format printing, commercial printing, and packaging. He has worked for and with several technology and service companies. Levine most recently comes from Schawk, where he was director of the Enterprise Print Quality program. At Schawk, He was focused on packaging — helping brands to optimize their packaging color on shelf and to produce more consistent and durable brand equity. He also managed a team of experts focused on implementing best practices and standardization. Previously, Levine was director of business development at the Color Management Group, where he worked with manufacturer partners, resellers, and customers on strategic sales and marketing programs to improve business performance based around color technology products. Levine also held technical and sales roles of increasing responsibility at X-Rite and NUR Macroprinters.

Levine holds a BS in Graphic Design from Northeastern University, with additional studies in Figure Study and Photography at Scoula del Verde. He is a published author and regular contributor to the industry through groups such as Idealliance Print Properties.

With his extensive color management expertise, Levine will coordinate efforts between the company’s sales, marketing, and operations groups, building a coherent GMG value proposition throughout the entire print production chain. He will be a key player bringing new products to market and working with GMG headquarters to unify the ‘go to market’ experience. As in the past, he will continue to be an industry spokesperson for color management.

“With Marc, the first word that comes to mind is credibility; he has enormous respect amongst his peers and colleagues. Certainly, he has the gravitas to persuasively communicate the GMG value proposition across any organization,” comments Joe Varone, GMG Americas president. “Marc has a great ability to take technical gaps in products, customer, and market needs and build the appropriate solutions to deliver maximum value. With this talent, he will help to build new marketing campaigns speaking the language of color with expert fluency, proper talk tracks, targeted to the right people, and to the correct marketing segments. His breadth of capabilities will help take us to the next level.”
