Mimaki USA, a global industry leader of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, announces the launch of the UJV100-160 roll-to-roll UV-LED printer to the Latin American market.
The UJV100-160 asserts Mimaki’s leadership in roll-to-roll UV-LED technology. With two newly developed printheads, high-quality prints at high speeds are achievable, combining stability and productivity in a competitively priced unit.
Equipped with UV-LED lights, the UJV100-160 delivers instantly cured prints at speeds of 247 sq. ft./hr. (23 sq. m./hr.) in draft mode and 200 sq. ft./hr. (18.6 sq. m./hr.) in high-speed mode, eliminating the drying time required by other ink technologies. Also, Mimaki’s UV-LED technology combined with a printable width of 64’’ (1.610 m) provide opportunities for use on a wide variety of media, including paper, PET film, fabric, and vinyl. This versatility enables customers to utilize more cost-effective media, thus decreasing media costs, while increasing the end user’s portfolio and profits.
Mimaki’s Core Technologies strengthen the print capabilities of the UJV100-160. The introduction of the Dot Adjustment System (DAS) removes the need for conventional manual dot position correction and feeding amount correction. By automating this process, the DAS reduces the burden on operators improving productivity. The Nozzle Check Unit detects the status of nozzles and immediately identifies any clogged nozzles activating a series of recovery functions. The Nozzle Recovery System automatically replaces lost or defective nozzles to ensure uninterrupted printing and consistent image quality. Mimaki Advanced Pass System (MAPS4) prints in gradation to reduce banding, uneven color, and glossy streaks.
Additionally, Mimaki introduces a new UV-curable ink, LUS-210, available in CMYK, White and Clear1. The use of white ink enables superior concealing and print capabilities on clear, colored, or metallic media. Clear ink offers unique creativity for a wide range of applications. LUS-210 inks are also more environmentally friendly, reducing air pollution in indoor environments.
The UJV100-160 printer will be available in the second quarter of 2020, from authorized Mimaki distributors in Latin America.
1 Clear ink will be available at a later date.
