Mimaki USA, a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, is proud to announce the launch of two inkjet printers for textile and apparel applications, the TS100-1600 sublimation transfer inkjet printer, and Tiger-1800B Mk III a high-speed textile inkjet printer with belt conveying system, both available this spring.

In recent years, the textile and apparel customer needs and requirements have significantly shifted. Inventory sales of mass-produced products has decreased in favor of just-in-time production runs of more personalized goods. Additionally, customers increasingly request shorter lead times which requires greater agility to produce goods quickly and efficiently, regardless of production run size.

TS100-1600

The TS100-1600 is an entry-level, high-performance sublimation printer that meets a diverse range of on-demand production. The ability to produce highly detailed, photographic quality prints with a wide array of colors, gradient capabilities and tonal quality is possible with print speeds up to 753 sq. ft/hour. It offers an excellent balance of operation performance, image quality, speed, at an affordable price.

New to the Mimaki line of sublimation printers is the use of one-liter bottled ink that will help reduce running costs by about half when compared to our conventional models1, and enables stable, long-term operation due to the reduced frequency of ink replacement. The printer ships with RasterLink7 and is supported by TxLink4. Equipped with a variety of features, including Nozzle Check Unit (NCU)2, Nozzle Recovery System (NRS)3, and Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4 (MAPS4)4 to ensure consistent, stable, and high-quality printing.

Also, the TS100-1600 comes with recently introduced Dot Adjustment System (DAS) feature which offers automatic alignments to ensure consistent quality and repeatability. The DAS also frees operators’ time by performing common adjustments automatically, ensuring perfect alignments resulting in fine lines and details often expected in high quality photographic imaging.

Tiger-1800B Mk III

The Tiger-1800B Mk III is a new high speed textile production model featuring the new Mimaki Printer Controller (MPC), a touch-screen operation software that enables faster operation and tighter control of production and quality. Integrated in the Tiger-1800 Mk III, the MPC enables faster operation and output with simple one-touch operations.

The Tiger-1800B Mk III is equipped with a variety of features, including Nozzle Recovery System (NRS)3, and Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4 (MAPS4)4 to ensure consistent, stable, and high-quality printing. 10GB-T Ethernet is also supported ensuring large production jobs can be loaded efficiently at the highest transfer rates. These functions reduce down-time and improve quality.

The Tiger-1800B Mk III combines high productivity with a maximum print speed of 4,144 sq. ft/hour and long operating stability.  The 10kg ink tanks increase run-times and lower running costs, allowing customers to choose the print speed that best suits their needs, from high-speed printing focusing on productivity to high quality printing pursuing finer detail. Depending on ink type and print mode, four different droplet sizes are available to achieve smoother colors and transitions.

In addition, the advanced high-performance RIP software "TxLink4" also supports the Tiger-1800B Mk III. Operators can expect to increase productivity through functions of TxLink4 such as “Parallel RIP” that enables the operation of multiple print data and “Variable print” that is tailored for apparel applications. TxLink4 also features “16-bit rendering” enabling smoother and more beautiful gradations.

Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. is dedicated to providing high-quality cost-effective solutions to customers with optimum results.

1 Conventional model: JV150-160, equipped with 440cc water-based sublimation ink cartridges and TS30-1300

2 NCU: A function that automatically detects the status of nozzles using the sensor, and performs auto cleaning when a missing nozzle is found

3 NRS: A function that automatically replaces defective nozzles with other nozzles if there is a problem left unsolved by the nozzle cleaning, and ensures uninterrupted printing with stable image quality

4 MAPS4: A function that prints pass boundaries fading in gradation to reduce banding (horizontal stripes), uneven color, and glossy streak
