William Longua of Quadient

Please provide a brief history/background on your company.

Quadient traces its roots back to 1924 with the founding of Neopost Limited. In 1992, Neopost Group was founded, and in 2019, the company was reorganized and renamed Quadient. The company employs about 4,900 employees.

Quadient helps companies easily and efficiently create meaningful and personalized interactions with their customers and other key stakeholders, whether the interaction involves mailing a contract, confirming a reservation via text message, receiving a package, paying a bill or communicating through a mobile or web app. To that end, Quadient’s key solution areas are Intelligent Communication Automation, Parcel Locker Solutions and Mail-Related Solutions.

Quadient supports more than 400,000 customers worldwide, with solutions distributed in 80 countries. Quadient customers include large enterprises, small and medium businesses, government and higher education institutions.

Your vision is “to be the driving force behind the world's most meaningful customer experiences.” What steps are you currently taking to make this vision a reality?

Quadient’s comprehensive portfolio of solutions is accelerating digital transformation for businesses of all sizes, which is necessary for providing excellent customer experiences. Digital transformation is crucial for organizations so they may better meet customer preferences, access and utilize data, remain compliant with regulations and take advantage of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence.

Driving both physical and digital communications, Quadient customers use the company’s end-to-end cloud-based business communications platform to manage over a billion customer-facing communications and critical business interactions every day. Quadient offers its customers an extensive line of cloud and hardware solutions for preparing and sending mail and packages, including postage systems and folders/inserters suitable for both low and high-volume mail and shipping operations. Quadient is the second largest company in the global mail solutions market. Quadient’s Parcel Locker Solutions consist of a cloud platform connected to a network of intelligent lockers that automates the tracking of drop-offs and pick-ups, optimizes last-mile parcel delivery management and simplifies parcel collection, whether in high-traffic areas, stores or neighborhoods.

How do you use automation in your product offerings to improve your business?

We offer an ecosystem of solutions that automate various processes in digital and physical document creation and output. Minimizing the steps our customers need to take to get communications, either physical or digital, to their own customers allows them to do more with fewer resources, which is vital in today’s work environment.

What are future goals for your operation (where do you see your company headed in 5 years)?

With a clear focus on organic development, innovation and technology, Quadient continues to scale its installed base of smart hardware and software solutions, accelerating further the shift to subscription software and fostering synergies across its solutions.

Why did you decide to join the Alliance? What resources do you plan to or have already utilized through your membership?

Quadient joined the Alliance because it supports an effective approach to foster learning, research and best practices to improve the businesses of the companies that make up the bulk of the industry. Quadient utilizes the excellent market research tools that PRINTING United Alliance produces and participates in many of the focused webinars it produces every year. It is a tremendous resource for helping Quadient understand the market better and see where it is going, so the company can better anticipate the needs of its customers.

Are you planning on attending PRINTING United Expo this September in Las Vegas? If so, what are you looking forward to the most?

Yes, Quadient will exhibit at PRINTING United Expo and showcase its latest Mail-Related Solutions, cloud software and innovations. Quadient looks forward to seeing customers in person and engaging with the industry overall.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

At the Expo, Quadient is excited to display its new MACH 9DS color inkjet solution that is designed to run in line with the Quadient DS-700 iQ inserter to produce full-color printed envelopes, dynamically matched to the contents inside. The system eliminates extra handling, reduces printing costs and increases the number of jobs that can be done in a day, which in turn saves Quadient customers time and money. We welcome all to our booth!
