Tone reproduction of the final print is the combined characteristics of each step involving image transfer. Methods have been proposed for analysis, but the tediousness of data collection and graphical construction discourage their application in a production setting The data storage and calculating abilities of a digital computer are used to over come this, with the analysis presented in tabular form.
