Summary:
A commercial brand of lithographic casein is modified by reacting it with glyoxal and by the addition of a solubilizing agent - guanidine carbonate. This coating is mixed with water and ammonium chromate is added as a sensitizing material. The coating is diluted with water to 2 - 3 Baume'' and is coated on pumice grained metal plates.
