The use of the four-field and six-field versions of Goldberg s diagram for representing and evaluating reproduction and printing processes is examined The latter version of the diagram was developed by the Hungarian Union of Printing Industry Laboratory for Technological Development Examples of four-field diagrams for halftone engraving and of six-field diagrams for halftone engraving, for positive-working offset halftone procedures, for photogravure, for letterpress and offset halftone prints, etc., are given.
