Summary:
Experiments previously reported in Japanese are described. The two main topics investigated were (1) the heat of reaction between nitric acid and finely crystallized zinc plates, and (2) the dependence of the work of adhesion of the addition agent on the temperature of the zinc plate. The present article includes some experimental results not given in the earlier reports.
