A Study of the Performance Characteristics of UV Curing Ink by Comparison with a Conventional Ink in the Offset Printing Process.

Details:

Year: 1975
Pages: 24

Summary:

A commercially available ultraviolet curing ink and a conventional offset ink were tested both on and off press for differences in performance. Measurements of tack specific gravity and ink volume vs, optical density were performed on press, several statistical planned experiments were carried out specifically for the evaluation of printing sharpness resolution slur, dot gain and gloss. Significant statistical differences are indicated.
