Summary:

A system for the automatic recording and identification of both analog and digital signals is discussed. All data is ultimately printed in digital form. The analog signals are analyzed in one or more of three different modes and converted into digital information. Complete identification of the data is also recorded. A digital printer is used to print the data as a permanent record. The equipment is semi-automatic in operation. Once the command to print is given, the required data and identification is printed in five consecutive lines. The total printing time is approximately one second.
