Carbon Arcs for Graphic Arts.

This paper summarizes the technical characteristics and performance data of various types of arcs used, including some of the more recently developed high intensity arcs. The wavelength bands of radiation useful for graphic arts are described. The various types of carbon arcs used are detailed. Spectral energy distribution curves are given. Tables on performance data and spectral characteristics are given.
