SGIA conducted its Industry Survey in January and February 2018. The goal of the survey was to evaluate the industry’s current situation, identify trends and provide commercial printers with information for their business decisions today and strategic planning for the future. This report is based on the responses of 159 commercial printers from the United States (97%) and Canada (3%). About two-thirds of our respondents (64.3%) serve other businesses; a quarter (24.5%) are business-to-consumer companies; and 11.2% identify themselves as in-plant printers. At least half serve local (66.4%) or regional (58.0%) markets.
