Determination of the Aerodynamic Principle of Hot Air Drying.

Details:

Year: 1973
Pages: 13

Summary:

Examining the use of hot air dryers with web offset printing, the author discusses hovering, air cushions, the construction of jet-air systems, air jets and their forces, jet forms, and combinations. The causes and elimination of fluttering of the paper webs at the edges are discussed. Design combinations of jets and bearing surfaces for one side and for both sides of the web are considered. The heat transfer of the double-jet system, covering temperatures, economics, and the use of other heat sources is explained, and schematic diagrams accompany the article.
